Today as I went through a warehouse of corvette parts I found a gauge face that I hope is the correct one for my 68 .it is flat on surface and on back side is the # 6480851 .
Any one know

That might be a mold # and may not correspond to the actual part#. Smooth surface would lead you to believe that it is a 68 one and whether or not it has the wiper override light can tell you 68E or 68L. Pics would be nice.

Oct 24 67 build date of my car and there is a red square upper right I will try to post picture

All 68 center bezels had smooth finishes. The tell-tales changed a bit as the model year progressed.
