Default Any experience with flaming river column?

Hi there,
It seems like I need a new steering column, it appears someone has tried hacking at mind and a small chunk is missing. Along with numerous other parts.

I've looked at rebuilding but the cost seems high when I'm almost to the flaming river unit. Which being me to the question, anyone used then flaming river piece and is it any good?

I haven't seen any good prices for decent used ones (maybe I'm just cheap) so this sea about like the only option left.

Thanks,
Ed

I have one in the '64, and have no issues with quality. FR makes good stuff.

I put one in my 72 restomod and have no issues. I had my custom built due to the borgeson box I was using...needed the length exact.
