1968 327 ignition shielding
Hello My username is tech 2009. 5 years ago i bought a 1968 327 vette. pulled the engine out and apart the very next day. i rebuilt the motor up to the intake but not the pullys , air pump and alternator brackets, exhaust manifolds and ALL the ignition shielding and spark plug heat shields. a few days later i was involved in a motor cycle accident. very bad. head trauma left me with severe holes in my memory and speech trouble. NOW i'm ready to begin the rest of the engine build but can't seem to find good pictures of the install process of aforementioned items. if anyone has good footage or pictures of the pully and brackets for all these or some of these things, the engine will be ready to put back in the car. thanks

You should purchase an AIM guide. This is the Assembly Instructions Manual given to GM assembly line workers to have refrences to build the car from. Wilcox Corvette should have them in stock.

Hi t,
Welcome! First Post!!!
In addition to the 68 AIM, (Assembly Instruction Manual), that Solid mentioned I think you'll find the G.M. '68 Chassis Service Manual' will be a big help to you as you get your car back together.
They're both available from the larger vendors.
Regards,
Alan

thanks for the reply fellas. but i have the assembly manual.it came as a binder and the name on the front says (corvette assembly manual) i purchased it from zip products. the first page, upon opening says corvette america,6 generations, 1 source.1968 corvette assembly manual this manual is reproduced and sold with permission of general motors corporation. but i must own the worst copy ever printed. there was a mix up last night with the registration process. but it's good now. so i can now post. pictures would still help. ps. i bought the car all original, #'s matching mint 36,000 mile car. pulled engine to powder coat some parts and found that the engine had been slopily put back together from someone's tampering dings found on top of #4 cylinder. had heads re done and new valves installed, hope that took care of the miss it had. so the engine is the only problem unless mice have now found their way into the under dash wiring harness over the past 5 years. won't know till motor is in.
