What to do when instrument cluster bezel brakes?
I am restoring a 68 and the usual instrument cluster housing is broke at the two small points anyone have a suggestion ?

Well considering the expense of a new one.. if you can live with the breaks (and they usually don't show up too bad)... I'd run a jumper wire from the wiper switch mounting screw to one of the screws that holds the five small gauges to the bezel.
The wiper switch must be grounded for the wipers to work. If the bezel is broke, you'll lose this ground in most cases... The ground for the switch pass's thru the bezel to the ground for the temperature gauge. The by-pass is run a jumper wire.

Hi,
I've repaired several bezels using a similar method to the one shown in blue's link.
The patch doesn't need to maintain the deep 'v' shape, it can be much deeper. It just can't be any thicker than the metal at that point.
That narrow 'v' at that point was for the safety consideration and thus results in the weak point in the bezel.
