no high beam
Ok so i have had a hell of a time replacing the ignition lock cylinder in my 79 but i have now got everything figured out except for the dimmer rod and how it connects to whatever it connects to. Any help would be greatly appreciated i have looked at every manual and diagram and have yet to see a clear picture or description of what to do.
Thanks in advance

The dimmer rod is spring loaded(working from memory here), so the plastic actuator in the column cover on the left just pushes against the rod as you pull the signal lever( dimmer) toward you. It pushes the rod down the column and clicks the dimmer switch. I remember it's very frustrating getting the plastic actuator and cover in place. Seems like some thick grease helped to hold things in place during assembly.
