Hi All,
I recently started this thread on my problems with my summit mini starter:

I also have this chevy performance mini starter that I removed because the bendix gear stopped throwing out.

This thing was quiet as a mouse and other than the bendix problem worked great. I've been looking around for a replacement solenoid for it but it seems GM doesn't offer one. There is a powermaster hitachi style solenoid on the summit website but I don't know if it is the same... anyone ever replace the solenoid on this starter successfully? I'd love a pointer or two to purchase one...

Everyone is looking at my C3 when i start it up for all the wrong reasons right now

that chevy starter is the same as the clones you can buy for $70 (whole starter) on ebay... the solenoid is identical from the pics... you might want to google it or check ebay...
I tried the clone and had the same issue as your having with your new summit starter...
