Default ls swap fuel return from regulator

I am working to complete my fuel delivery on my LS swap into my 1981 vette. I have just installed new OEM stainless lines before making the LS enigne choice swap.

Heres what i need to know. I have a 3/8 OEM supply line with a 1/4 or 5/16 return line. Will the line smaller than 3/8 work as my return line from the C5 filter/regulator, or will this line have to be replaced with a 3/8 line. Not planning on HP being over 500.

Thanks. Waiting on some replys.

The quick disconnect fitting on the vette regulator is 5/16". Yours will be fine.

It will depend on the pump you use. Many stock LS vehicles have a 5/16 return line. I am using 3/8 but probably don't need it, with my stock 6.0 truck pump. Obviously if you have way more volume/pressure than you need it has to go somewhere. You could always try it and check your fuel pressure at idle.

Use the Corvette filter/regulator. Mount it by the gas tank. Use the stock 3/8" line as feed and dead head into the engine just like a modern LS.
