Re: Chrome Alternator (Roadster71)
If the alt. is in good working order why not just get a chrome case kit ? $39.00.
I bought mine from the people at the link below, great prices...

Re: Chrome Alternator (yellow 72)
Yellow 72,
I thought about doing that, but her current one has some issues. I noticed that the lights are flickering when at idle.
I went to the the web site you referenced and they offer "Powermaster" brand alternators. Anyone have any experiance with these vs. the Delco's
Thanks

Re: Chrome Alternator (Roadster71)
I'll recommend the Powermaster alternators. I bought one that puts out 70amps at idle and 105 at 2,000 rpm. it's strong enough to charge my battery with my electric fans, foglamps, lights, and audio amplifiers running. its nice.

Here's another possibility for you. Check in the yellow pages of the phone book. There's probably some places in your area that rebuild alternators and starters.
Call them and see if they have a chrome alternator that will fit. Last time I bought an alternator for the shark I used to own, I called Southern Armature Works -- a few blocks from where I work. They told me the only one they had in stock was chrome and asked me if that was OK. It was only $20 more, so I said OK! :D :yesnod:
