Default Won a giant trophy Sunday

Sunday at Island Dragway (timeslip has the wrong date). Nostalgia drags for cars over 30 years old. 19 cars in the 1st round. Managed to win my bracket, N3 - 12.00 to 13.99. Got a major trophy. Time slip of my quickest run is attached (right lane).

Congrats. You have a well thought out car. Also I like the fact u run the vette wheels. I just had my rears widened to 9" to fit a 275 tire a little better. Thnx for sharing

Congratulations! Very good times and I'm happy you took the event! I'll bet the toughest part, was figuring out, how you were going to take the trophy home!

Thanks guys. My wife wonders why I go through the hassle of racing the car 9 or 10 times a year. I tell her its all about the potential bragging rights. She doesn't get it.

The drag radials in the pic are 275/60/15 on the 8 inch wheels. Although BF Goodrich recommends 8 to 10 inch wheel widths, I think the 9 inch width would be better.

Its a good thing I didn't have a passenger because they wouldn't fit with the trophy. And I wasn't leaving the trophy.

Yes 8" is good. I did 9" because I increased the flare 1" and the wheel/ tire combo is a nice fit on 9" don't know if I would do it again.

Excellent run! Many of us know how much time, effort and $ it takes to get our vettes down the track that fast and still be able to drive it home. Congrats on the win.
