Default Head lites die on brights

So i upgraded my headlites to a 55 dim 65 high beam 4 lamp setup they work fine on low beam, but as soon as i go to high beam they flutter and die. Where do i start? obviously this is too high of a current draw for a switch or relay? According to the schematics i dont see and easy fix here? what else needs to be upgraded please help.

There is a Circuit breaker built into the Light Switch, sounds like it is getting weak.Time to replace the Light Switch.

Brand new switch from a vendor! Could it be a bad switch

did you use the relays stern sells? the load on the headlight switch is almost nothing when its wired like stern says.
if it were me i would email stern and ask him, he is very knowledgeable on this subject and most helpful. i have the system myself and any issue i had was a mistake on my part. it is the best mod I've made .

The way i see it, i will wire it as per his instructions. I can buy relays at the local electronic shop. The low beams are 55 watt which draw 4 amps and the high beams are 65 watt which draw over 5. so a couple of 20 am relays will be sufficient.

mounted mine up behind the front turn lamps on chassis beam.
brown socket from lamp (top center) has the wires to trip the relays.
heavy red wire from alternator, thru circuit breaker, to relays.

i also made a new lamp harness with new wire, just so i didn't mess with the original, put in a heavy earth lead as well

just unpluged the existing sockets n taped them up outta the way.

difference was like night an day.
my new low beam was better than my previous highbeam.....
had to change to better lamps due the extra voltage making the filliment hotter.
they kept blowing when coming to the sudden stop when housing went up.

It could be with all the china imports, even quality brands that We trusted for Years just reboxing import trash. Also how much more amps do the new lights draw ? May have to install the relays and up graded wireing as in the previous posts.
