Default Another Flex Plate Question

In another thread the question was brought up about the weight on a flex plate and it got me started looking. I have two engines one on a stand and the other on a lift. One is a 74 350 and the other is a 68 327. The 327 has a flex plate with a weight welded on and the 350 doesn't. Is the 327 externally balanced or do I have the wrong plate? I was about to install the 327 and I need to know which is correct. The flex plate and the 327 was bought at different times. Thanks for any help.

both the 327 and 350 are internally balanced. Are there part numbers on the plates?

The only part number I see stamped on the weighted plate is 30 and the number 3542 stamped on the weight. The unweighted plate has the number 42 stamped into it.

I think I had the wrong plate also.
