Are you using 3 piece rocker channel inserts, or removing and replacing the old rocker channels?

I thought of removing and replacing the channel. The old channels are very rusty.

I removed mine, repaired and then reinstalled it. One good way to go imo is to get a good used one that is cut plenty high up the A and B pillars. They're sometimes rust free ones available on ebay. Make a brace between the upper door hinge and the B pillar's striker to hold things together and take some measurements before removing the old one. A heat gun and some stiff putty knives to get the f/g covers off.
I drilled out the spot welds and took it apart that way but depending on how bad they are, it might be easier to get a donor piece and splice it in above the lower door hinge. Rick

Not a fun job.

I removed my old rocker channels and welded in the new replacements
I didn't want to cut up the fibreglass so i did it the hard way

Thanks this helps. Did you remove the front clip or were you able to weld the pillar A without removal?

Front clip was on throughout. I didn't have to remove it.
