Default Who else was driving their Vette today?

Who else was driving their Vette today?

I have been watching the weather around the US and I feel sorry for all the people digging out the drive ways or below Zero temps! Then there is us out in these warmer climates driving there Vettes around with the windows down.

I was out running my Vette kind of hard like always and it was getting down on my 25 gallon tank so I filled up. Raising cain with a high revving solid roller in and around town doesn't make for the best mileage. 23.8 gallons and only 351 miles only comes out to 14.70 MPG.

At least Super unleaded is down to $3.09

I drove mine today too. Easy to do when you live in the desert like we do. Much more enjoyable with the t-tops off this time of year. I feel sorry for those poor people in the Buffalo area getting all that snow. Not even winter yet. Awful

My 1974 went into winter storage on October 22. It was 14*F this morning. Hardly Corvette weather. Cold, but not like the misery we are seeing in Buffalo. That is a real tragedy! And may become worse as the rain comes in on the weekend.

George, 14.7 mpg is pretty good actually, especially for your combo.

I average 9-10 mpg in town driving easy.. About 11 mpg highway at 70.. Best ever was 12.5 mpg highway running 65mph.

Ironically, my z06 with fuel injection and OD tranny doesn't any better in town and only 1-2 mpg better on the highway.

But yeah, I'll have my Vette out sunday.. Sunny and 80* here..

Well, can't drive in the winter here, but driving a Vette in the dust bowl desert of Nevada would never be the fun that driving here is. I here it all the time from the people in the swampland of Florida how great they have it, but they miss the fact they live in a swamp. Same story with the dust bowl of Phoenix, etc. Its not about quantity, its about quality.

I am, with care as there is some spotted ice, but she loves the cold air and the main roads are mainly free of ice. November the 21st who would have thought, but I'll take it.

I can't speak for Nevada being a dust bowl, but I moved to Arizona when I changed jobs back in 84. I can honestly say that the Phoenix area would not be classified as a dust bowl as you put it as it is quite green here. I left Syracuse, NY and I am quite happy not having to contend with the snow and ridiculously cold temperatures. I'll take my "dust bowl" any day over wherever it is that you call home.

Drove mine today, trying to get the fuel level down so I can start on the new fuel system.

New pump, lines, regulator, sump, etc....

I just drove down from Las Vegas to Mesa and Lake Havasu for quad riding and it was high 70's just perfect for 10 days of beautiful desert quading.

So green from all the last rains.

I've been driving about 50 miles per day this week trying to debug my project car and solve the overheating problem.

Today I narrowed it down and took the radiator out.....time for a new one so I can wrap up the testdriving and enjoy this Loo-z-anna Winter/70* today/blue skies!

Made a quick blast down 395 today. It's supposed to be crappy for the weekend., so best to get it in so the withdrawals won't be so bad.
