10 month build pictures. 24hr Daytona
A little history on the car. Was sponsored by Autodyne and later by Sanyo and BASE. Finished 4th in class GTO. Which was the highest finishing American car that year. The car covered the most miles in 24 hours for an American car in 77. A record that remained unbroken for over 20 years.
This was the car after finishing the 24hrs in 1977.

Great historical write up on your racer. I appreciate you sharing the pictures of the rebuild, not often do we get to see them stripped down to their bare essentials.
Best of luck with the motor issues. You will get it sorted and please keep us up to date. Nice car to save.

That is sooo cool I am looking at what must be a lifetime dream for you and qualifying for Datona 24hrs is just incredible, you really are a step above most of us.
I hope you get another crack at Daytona, contact me if you want to find a shop that can build an engine to run 24hours. Congratulations
