I can't give you an answer right now, but I'll go out to the garage tomorrow and measure for you. Right now it's about 26*F. and I don't work too well in the cold. You'll hear from me tomorrow.

Hi tbh,
I don't think there was any combination of options that required a double pulley on the alternator.
If not an Lt-!, it could have been either a machined pulley or one stamped from steel stock.
The pulley on my 71 base engine is 3 1/4" outside diameter and is machined.
Regards,
Alan

The alt is going out and I would like to get the correct set up put in the car. My buddy swore it was out of a light truck. Should I just call a corvette supplier and trust them to send me the correct one and be done with it?
Thanks

Sorry my reply took so long, but the holidays have first preference this time of year. I see Alan replied with his '71 measurements. Mine are the same as his on my original '72 base engine alternator. If you go to Rockauto, Autozone, or O'Reilly's, you should get the correct alternator with the right 3 1/4" single groove pulley. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
