Can you "clock" a power steering pump
I have a chrome power steering pump I'd like to use. As you can see below it is clocked differently than my existing one. I can't install it because the bosses in my block are not drilled out and tapped for its bracket.
Is there a way to clock this pump so I can use it with my existing bracket?

Looked at a disassembled GM pump I got in my box-O-parte and NO, can't be clocked.
Only 2 threaded holes in the pump and the boss for the hose can only go one way.
What does the back side of the pump look like? The housing. Do the stud/bolts line up like the old pump?
If so, can you swap the old pump into the chrome housing?
In any case, you got nothing to lose by taking it apart and checking since it does you no good as is.

Sounds like a plan. You'll know within the first few bolts if it's gonna work. Just be careful of the frame clearance. The pulley comes very close on our vettes.
