under drive pulley
I tried to do a search for benefits, other than looks, for the under drive pulley set up, have a 79 L 82, anyone have them?

The only benefit I can think of is if you're going to spin the motor to the moon, it may keep the accessories from over speeding.
If you're looking for any seat of the pants power gain from it, look elsewhere.

I have the March underdrive system on my 78 L82. Other than looking nice and dressing up the engine compartment I could not find much about the benefits. When I had my car dynoed I asked the operator how much more HP with this system and he only smiled.
One article said it didnt start working until the revs were high. Slowing down the rotation of the water pump. If you are looking for HP per $ you need to go elsewhere.
