Default 77 Engine Pic

Just wondering if anyone knows of any, or could take a pic of the front of the engine of a 77 or equivalent.

Mine is not right. Want to try and figure out what sorcery the PO cast.

Thanks!

Define "not right." Why not post a pic of your engine and we can take a look at what you have?

Accessory are not where they belong. The power steering cap is < 1 inch from the bottom of the alternator bracket.

This pic was taken with my iPhone and this is a 77 L48 that's never been altered. Hope this helps.

Probably the belt is too long on the PS pump. Get a shorter one and it should change the position of the cap since the pump will not be rotated as far to tension the belt.

looks like the PO raised the alternator's height so you can actually take off that power steering cap without a fight.

The PS cap is difficult to access on mine also. If the PS belt is too long the PS pump pulley will contact the frame. A shorter belt makes the cap even more difficult to remove. mike...
