Default HELP on removing Front Wheel Spindle Bearing Hub from front rotor

Have the original (5) riveted Front Wheel Spindle Bearing Hub to rotor. Looking on line, they are talking about a punch mark in the rivet, then drilling a 5/16 hole in the center of the rivet, then punching them out. They say no rivet (or other) is needed as the mount between the wheel/rotor/ hub secures the rotor (like the new cars) So - any ideas? I did the drill and punch, and they are not even coming close to budging. Might encounter a similar situation on the rears?? Thanks
