My 69 frame has 2 "step downs" in frame thickness. Are you narrowing past the second step down? (the narrowest part of the rail) I will be getting rid of the bulge for the trailing arm bolt (dont need that anymore). The tire in this pic is where it sat with the stock suspension. It rubbed the inside and the top of my wheel tub.

I have already narrowed the inside of the frame rails a bit to clear some other suspension stuff, so I wont be doing any more narrowing then just the trailing arm bolt "bulge". Im cheating a little bit by using the custom image 2" flared fenders but going to squeeze 335's in there. Enough thread hyjack about my car though... I want to see what you end up doing

6 to 6 1/2 depending on your frame mods you could even go 7. Not going to happen with stock trailing arms.

But a tire sticking out like that is not what im after. You need flares.

Already in progress lol. The wheels are just on for measurement purposes. I want to build the body around my tires rather than size my tires around my body

HELLO GORGEOUS
Complete (ALMOST LOL) need to adjust rear end height. Last pic is adjusted. Im in love all over again. Car feels solid and really sticks to the ground with the wide wheels. Big freaking difference from stock..

Thanks man!! In person you would not do a double take on this car. Your eyes would be stuck on it from first glance. wheels are so wide and tucked in, you would think its a European car of some sorts if you did not know its a corvette looking from the rear, it looks like it had a massive tub done for racing lol.

I'll have to post some pics up once she's all done. Hopefully paint will be finished in about a month but my customers' cars always come first

I know for a fact its not as easy on your year car to do. But it can be done. There is a member named BEEJAY that modded his,(same style rear you have) but used adapters if im correct. Im trying to stay with a shorter tire. If I go taller, its not going to look right.. The stance is perfect once the front comes down a hair.

You guys are not rubbing on the inner wheel tubs?? I dont get it... I barely rubbed on the frame rail, but going over a dip in the road, the tire would rub the side and TOP of the wheel well on my car. Not the quarter panel, the top of the inner wheel well (ie: if It rubbed through, the tire would hit my interior carpet). My car is a 69... Id be interested if the wheel tubs are different on the later years. My car is very low, but it not that much lower

Looks great!
I'm going down a similar route.
Only mod was to relocate PB cable bracket.
Starting on the suspension and stance soon.
Vision Torque 143
18x8.5 front with Michelin Pilot Sport 255/45
18x9.5 rear with 285/40
They stick like crazy glue!
