Difference between Torker and Torker II Intakes?
I've done some searching but haven't found what differences, if any, there are between the original Torker and the Torker II intake manifolds. Anyone know?
Thanks,
Jason

Ask MountainMotor, he is a big fan of the original Torquer but strongly dislikes the Torquer2. I just put in the original on my new engine and he reworked it a bit as well.

I'm using the "old" Torker - actually TM-1 (Tarantula) which is the Torker with big runners... and the performance is excellent!!!

The TorkerII's runners were altered to provide higher velocity at lower rpm. I haven't ever done a side by side comparison so I don't know if that hurt high rpm power any though. The difference in their appearance is very obvious. While the original Torker's runners are "spiders" like most other single planes, the TorkerII's runners are more curved and reach the heads almost straight on instead of at an angle like the spider's. With the plenum covered, at a glance the Torker II looks almost like a dual plane. This pic is of a TorkerII.
