Where to get custom steel fuel line?
Replaced sideways inlet carb with forward inlet carb. Steel line from filter can to carb doesnt worked and I tried to cold work it (bend) and it crimped on me and now is no good.
Dont want to use rubber or rubber steel braided either. Dont see anything online.
Any ideas on what kind of shop would do custom steel lines? Or if I can find an existing line that's close, how could I form it without destroying it?

buy a good quality tubing bender an you can bend the line how you need. Get a piece of tubing to practice with. Also you may need a double flare tool to put a flare on it if you cut to a custom length.

Use the nickel-copper tubing that auto zone sells. It's softer like aluminum and doesn't work harden. Get a flaring tool and bender from Harbor Freight and read Lars' paper on fabricating fuel lines. Make one or two practice bends and flares, and you'll be good to go.
