Default Help with broken seat bracket

Hi,

The front foot on the drivers seat bracket broke just about in the center. This must be common as replacement feet are readily available. I ordered and am waiting for a pair now. I removed the seat and it seems the feet are held on with a rivet. Is this correct? I would like to know before chiseling or drilling the item. If it is a rivet does anyone recall the size and type(material).

I don't know of anything else that looks like that. Any info appreciated.

Thanks,

Ray

I never had this problem but if it's a big 1/4 rivet like GM uses on their window regulator? Harbor freight sells a massive rivet gun to handle a rivet that size and my local GM dealer had the rivets for my window regulator.

Having gotten the new part, and having drilled out the 1/4" rivet it looks like I can use a thin headed screw and nut . Will have to back up the nut by inserting a screwdriver or ? into the track. Thanks for the input.
