Default Metric halfhsaft U-bolt nuts

Just like the title says. I'm putting my rearend back together and notice the new u-bolt nuts I got from Ecklers are 15mm. WEIRD!!!

Also the u-bolt itself had these marks. Kinda deep grooves best describe them, on each straight end about 2 per side. I'm sure they are marks from the press(forming) machine. Not a u-bolt expert just figured I'd mention it. I should have taken a picture of the marks.

I believe the half shaft 3/8" NC nuts use a standard 9/16" (.562") socket.

Yah I know and these are from Ecklers and says for c3, but no way a 9/16 wrench will fix and 15mm fits.

I pulled one to snap a few quick pics, thinking I'm gonna go ahead and just order some new from another place since I plan to drag the car mostly. All ends have the marks some are lighter and others a bit worse.

Not sure where Ecklers gets there's from, but Dana spicer makes the ubolts I bought. Part number 3-94-18X.

If you want the straps for the transmission I found they are made by Neapco #1-0024.

I just bought some more local for $14.84, both sides. They look a lot diff and are fine threaded with a 9/16 nut. They still have a bit of mark from the die, but it's almost nothing and much much lighter!

Edit: From the pic online for 3-94-18X I'm pretty sure the ones I just bought are Spicers, just repacked with that corvette places name. I'll take Spicer over china knock off any day. I only got the ecklers cause they gave me a gift certificate form another order they messed up.

Good call. The slicers I bought look like the ones on the right. They are shiny and the nuts are gold.
