I ordered mine 1" narrower, .5" off each side.
Running 285/45/18's with plenty of clearance.
I don't recall the extra charge but I think it was pretty minor. Maybe $30.

Yes, you can get a shortened composite spring from VBP, all you have to do is ask. Both my 68 and 70 cars have VBP composite springs with 1/2 inch shortened from each end. Best I remember, VBP doesn't charge extra to shorten them.

The shortened spring gives you the option of running a little wider tire.
If you buy offset trailing arms, you need (IMO) to order the shorter spring to allow you to effectively take advantage of the offset trailing arm's wider tire provision.

BTW: The composite springs are sooooo much easier to install than the stock multi-leaf steel spring.

Yes, I dont remember it costing more. That was probably 6 years ago. I had .5" off each side to fit my c5 z06 wheels. I ended up shortening it further for peace of mind.

Stock trailing arms? If so, parking brake bracket still in original spot? Any tire rub on the frame or body? Thanks... considering the same!
