Shift points on '82
My '82 seems very slow to shift into/between the lower gears. First to second doesn't shift until almost 4500rpms and it's a harder shift than the other gears when it does. 2d to 3d is closer to 3500rpms, but it still feels like the tach is winding up too much. I end up coaxing the shifts with the accelerator pedal more often than not to keep shifting feeling smoother. 3d to overdrive is nice (@2500) and it runs really smoothly in those gears.
Where should the shift point be in these gears? Anything to be concerned about?

have you tried adjusting the shift cable connected to the throttle?

Trying to get an idea as to where it SHOULD be shifting before touching anything-my first Vette, so I'm learning. It's much different than my 69 GTO (but a load of fun).

You have the TV cable adjusted WAY too tight which is why your upshifts are so delayed. Back off the cable housing a few notches.

I don't know, but I've always thought that even if the gear ratios are close, skipping gears means slipping the clutch more than you should. Nobody's worried about excessive wear?
