Default Low fuel light on, full tank of gas

hey guys.
What would cause my Low fuel light to come on with a full tank of fuel?

One thing that can cause it is if the low fuel module was removed and a bulb installed in it's place.

The thing is '75, it worked all of last year and worked this spring. I filled it up a couple of weeks ago, and the light came on when I left the service station.

My only other guess is that the module went bad, it's located right behind the light. Willcox has replacements and may even have a video for testing.

It is common for people to remove the module and install a bulb and just as 75 stated, when you do this the light will stay on all the time. But... Since you stated the module worked previously and I see no mention of you pulling the module, I'd have to guess you either have a PCB connection issue or you have a module issue.

I'd pull the module and test it per the instructions below. If it works like in the video I'd go looking hard at the pcb or the pcb connector. If it fails then I have plenty of the correct modules in stock

Thanks for the info. Been busy getting the boat ready for our short summer up here, but I'll try and get it tested today and get back to you with the results.
