68 windshield wiper switch controlled backwords
I posted earlier about fixing my windshield wipers they were not going into park when I switch to OFF it would run in high I proceeded to wire a ground from the switch to a good ground on the console now wipers will go into park but when I put it into hi. low is low and off is high. Basically moving the switch is backwards.
Works for now but not the complete solution. Any suggestions.

The switch connector is specifically made to prevent being plugged in upside down. The wiper switch is a "grounding switch" which means when its turned on it completes the circuit to ground so any additional ground wire would be a big mistake.

unless 68 is different than 69 yes it can be installed incorrectly.
and it does not receive ground thru the switch connector.
it receives ground thru the contact of mounting the switch to the metal conductive mount, that should be at grounded.

The switch connector is not backwards. My console is broken at the thin spot so the switch was not getting a ground. Went from the mounting screw on the switch to the metal dash bar that I tested was grounding with my power probe.

That will work, the bezel needs a ground so your switch gets a ground. That happens often with a broken bezel. But hard to replace at the cost they want for them, at least on a 68 which is a whole different car.
