The steering column may not be bolted up completely. In 6'4 260lbs and I have plenty of room. I would check the bolts first that might save you time and money. You may have tilt steering which would cause your tight situation. If you have two levers on the passages side of column you may be able to adjust to fit your situation.

I gather you live in China? Your car is upside down. If your steering column has two levers sticking out of the left side the front one is for adjusting the amount of tilt in your steering wheel. If it doesn't have the additional front (shorter) lever you could consider buying a 1" or 2" smaller diameter steering wheel to give you more leg room.

It won't be cheap--you'll soon discover that nothing about a C-3 is cheap--but I do suggest keeping an eye out for a tilt and telescope steering column. Given the seating position the T&T was an EXTREMELY popular option.
BTW, I'm 6'4, 280# and fit nicely in my '79 even if onlookers seem amazed with the ease I enter and exit.

Welcome to the Forum!
If you have power steering, a 2 inch smaller steering wheel would gain an inch of extra clearance (do not go smaller than 13" in diameter, though).........
since you will resto-mod the car, you could modify the steering column mounting brackets to gain another inch.......
you could also remove the seat sliders/adjuster to lower the driver's seat down to the floorboard and gain another half-inch/maybe a little more.
There........2 1/2 inches of extra room....
Keep us updated in this same thread/makes it easier to find!
(Ask a Forum Administrator to move your entire thread to the "General Forum".....that is where restoration/Build threads are located)
