Supercharge my 82
Ok so i have a 1982 corvette that i want to put a supercharger on, i know everything that i will have to get for the carburetors except for the electrical stuff. What will i have to do with the plugs for the fuel injectors? do i have to change the computer and wiring harness?

what about engine internals, correct compression forged pistons, forged rods, forged crank, etc.? Dont think you can just slap a supercharger on and expect the engine to survive too long.

I agree with MelWff. If you don't build the lower end correctly and set up the mixture and ignition correctly, you will be replacing a lot of pistons. Supercharging is not a casual weekend project.

Especially on a computer controlled crossfire 82.... I think perhaps a reality check is needed unless you plan on removing the computer and throttle body injection and swapping in a carb setup... Those crossfires wont even run with an aggressive cam let alone supercharger...
The l98 in my old 84 was forged I believe and the 82 block is likely also but you will probably at least need to change the pistons.
Im sure there are others who are more knowledgeable that may chime in but judging by your first post which counterdicts itself because one minute you talk of "carburetors" and in the very next sentence you ask about the fuel injectors? You may have some serious reading to do...
The 82 has no carbs... It used two throttle body injectors and a restrictive "crossfire" intake which produced nice torque but serverly limited the engines breathing capabilities...

The L83 can handle supercharging as long as rpm is limited under 6000. The crossfire would be the difficulty in your project. I talked to a guy who turbo charged his 82 with the crossfire injection and he used a progressive 1:1 ratio fuel pressure regulator. For every pound of boost it adds a pound of fuel pressure. I hope you're not fond of your hood because that will need to be cut!
