Electrical plug location?
Removed steering column and gauges after reinstallation the car has no power at gauges I bought a wiring diagram but I cant find plug with red and red/white wires, does anyone know where it attaches. I'm hoping this is what's keeping electrical system from working properly, thanks, Tony.

do you have an empty spot on your fuse box where that wire may belong? This link has an image of a 74 but you can see the wire on the left.

Thanks
This plug has a short lead, maybe 4 inches it will not reach fuse box, it has to plug in nearby or another plug coming to it. When I turn the key on I have power on the red wire not the red/white. Thanks, Tony.

Looks to be for the wiper service AKA "override" switch- if you have a 69 w/ AC

When you say "no power at the gauges".........are you referring to illumination lighting on the gauges......
OR....
are you referring to the individual gauges not working?
Use a voltmeter to make sure the fuses in the fuse block are receiving 12-13 volts on EACH SIDE of each fuse when the ignition key is turned to the ON position.
I also had a loose ground wire on the metal case that the gauges attach to.
OR....

Thanks everyone!
Car is factory a/c, manual, 1969. Thanks for all leads, it is a slow process but eventually I'll find what is left unconnected or loose.

Car starts
Jumped neutral switch again and was able to start car, that's one less issue.
Can't find wiper override switch, it could be missing, I'm a new owner and never looked for it.
Still getting no power at ammeter, will work on that next.
