Default Installing heat spacer with Holley and Weiand intake

Did a little work on "Lucille"(1975 SB Convertible) today. Trying to address the heat issue I have had with the Holley and the Weiand intake that was on the car when I bought it. She always starts great when cold, but once up to running the tempt. (around 190) and you shut if off and let it sit for a while it acts like it flooded. From reading feedback in the Corvette Forum, I decided to try a spacer so I used the Mr. Gasket Carburetor Heat Dissipaters 97 which is made up of two plates of aluminum alloy and three gaskets and it's only 1/4 inch thick, so i had no issue with the hood.
What a difference, first the intake I have is a single plane, so having the four holes seems to help the low-in torque and when you shut it off and let it sit, she starts up a lot better, in addition, the carb is not as hot to the touch.
I would recommend giving it a try if you have car heat issue.
