Converting a C3 to all electric?
Is it even possible?
Would love to see someone try to convert their C3 to an all electric car:

Safety Car
There is a guy in Yelm WA working on making kits to convert C3s and C4s to electric. He is at the airport there. He has already built an electric airplane. I delivered a couple motors to him. He showed me the cars he was working on and his electric plane. No way in hell I would go up in a battery powered plane. Or convert a Vette to electric. But this guy knows what he is doing. He has a bunch of C3s and C4s around to play with. He thinks there will be a market for the kits. Maybe when gas goes back up. It was high at the time I was there. Maybe a year and a half ago.

If it were possible to find a Tesla P58D that was wrecked and incorporate it into the C3 chassis, I think that would be the way to go.
TheTesla runs 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and can walk a Z06 to 100mph easy. It was also the highest rated car in Consumer Reports history. Plus you get to park in the electric car spots typically in front of the stores and such. I can see the head scratches from the on lookers now seeing a C3 with a cord plugged in it.
Richard454 and DUB were thinking about doing a group project, what ya think?

About 5 years ago I was at the track with my Firebird, I had just got done making a pass. My car was on the grass and I was crouched down letting air out of my tire. I heard the grass crackling behind me. I thought it was somebody sneaking up on me, I turned to look around and it was an old 1980's Pontiac Fiero! The guy had converted it to electric, and was making passes. It was so quiet I didn't even hear it. He pulled in next to me. He was as interested in my car as I was his. He ran 12's with that thing! Was no match for my 10 sec bird though. I have a pic somewhere around here...

The z06 and Hellcat are both faster to 100 than the Tesla. My daughter's fish knows more about cars than that Commie rag known as Consumer Reports.

2022 C3 of the Year Finalist - Modified
A person who own a C3 Corvette should be ashamed to even think such a thing. While the milleniums, college professors, and sandal wearing liberals hate American classic muscle, i.e. V8's and Harleys, there are still some of us left who know right from wrong.

And buying a wrecked tesla? I don't think you can evey buy parts for Tesla's, only dealers are allowed to touch them...
and I won't even get into the consumer reports magazine's known lack of credibility...

there are plenty of sites about converting small light cars to electric. it's done all the time with rabbit's, MG's, etc. Why in the heck would you do it to a vette, with no room for the batteries, already heavy, and more valuable stock than it would ever be with less range, power, etc.???makes no sense...

I think they can go about 300 miles or more now, better milage than my stock 327-300hp.

Should the time come...
Some Dutch politicians are unfortunately enough convinced that banning classic cars will actually make a difference for the environment. There may come a time that I will be forced to either sell or scrap my corvette or convert it to something they consider 'green'.
In which case I would rather go this route: install a hydrogen combustion engine, just like the BMW H2R or the BMW 7 series V12 (Jay Leno owns one of those).
Even though hydrogen isn't very efficient unless you create it with some natural power source or a nuclear power plant, I think a combustion engine simply pays the most respect to the heritage of our cars.
