Default Pic request, 1981 ( or similar ) Air con compressor set up

Having just replaced my exhaust with some new headers, I thought I might as well re install the air con system in an effort to get it working correctly.
When I took it off, I had all the parts laid out as they came off with the bolts and brackets together. Sadly I did not take pictures as I would normally do.
My son, trying to help, tidied everything up and now I am struggling to see how the compressor actually mounts to its bracket. I machined a spacer to re use the original long exhaust stud and the bracket is bolted to the head using that stud and a smaller bolt in the front of the head. I have a brace running from the bracket to the intake and one long bolt holding the compressor in the bracket. Now, the compressor swivels and the belt looks aligned but the bolt holes in the compressor are now away from the mounting bracket, there is a gap.

I cant get any pics ato post and my AIM doesnt seem to have any info on the air con at all!

Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for the pictures. It looks like there is a spacer between the bracket and the compressor which makes perfect sense.

Is there any brace on the front underside of the compressor or just the one on the top to the intake?

Just the bracket at the bottom, and the top brace at the rear.
The spacer is 1" OD x 1/2" long. ID is whatever the bolt diameter is.

Thanks. The spacer must be in one of the boxes of parts my son tidied away. Will check tomorrow and get it all secured.

You might want to look again. The AIM has several pages covering the AC system. AC was standard equipment for the 81s.

Cheers Mike, I know it was standard equipment, Im thinking my AIM is missing some pages.
I found the bolt and the spacer which is now fitted. Now to look through the AIM again just to be sure!

Yes it does, but the compressor mounting detail is vague at best.

Not sure how or why but the section for the front end in my AIM was all mixed up. Found the section and put it all in the correct order!
Thanks guys.
