Default Alignment Specs

I compiled alignment specs from different sources. Let me know if there are corrections or additions. This might be a handy reference.

Excellent info. I'm surprised everyone recommends negative camber. T

I'd be curious as to why that would be a surprise, but for the sake of this thread not getting put off the rails let's please to discuss that elsewhere should you decide to expound on your thoughts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, top in and bottom out = + camber.
Most race cars I see are set that way for road racing. [F1, GT ect.] T

Had mine aligned recently. Had way negative rear camber. Now set at 0 - daily street driver - and it looks weird to see wheels straight up and down, not tilted in at top.

Hi, anyone has a good link showing how to DIY align a C3 1978 (or any C3 model year)? I am especially interested in caster. Thanks.

Here is My DIY Alignment method to take all measurements. As for what to adjust

Front:
shims in upper control arms : camber / caster
Tie rods sleeves: toe

Rear:
shims control arm bushings: Toe / Thurst angle
camber bolt / adjustable sleeve : Camber

I see in some setups 5° of camber , is that the total camber right and left or each side?

That would be caster 5 degrees each side, and requires adjustable upper control arms (spc) or offset upper control arm shafts, non-factory upper arms to get more than the factory spec of 2.75 degrees.

i know from my own expirience that for 5° caster you will need to reoplace the a arms (i have global west on mine) . But if you check the specs of some of the setups here its says 5° camber and 3° of caster
thats way i asked if its 5° of total camber right and left ...5° of camber of each side its not normal
