header question
On a stock 77 small block 4spd what header/side pipe option would be the better choice. The Maximizer set up that is always on ebay or the Hooker or Dougs set up that is on Ebay, Jegs and Summit. I am leaning towards Jegs or Summit strictly for the support.
I notice that Hooker and Dougs are virtually identical but Maximizer has a different tube OD.
I am still trying to decide between side headers and side pipes or long tube headers, pipes and 40 series Flowmasters or... shorty headers and a chambered exhaust.

You do realize that the '69 factory side pipes will bolt up on your '77 don't you? Back in the day (late '70's) switching to side pipes boosted top speed from 125 to 130 with no other changes. Clearly not the same as Hooker side pipes or headers, but it is essentially a bolt on.
