Need help with 68 underbody insulation.

Need help with 68 underbody insulation.
I've done some searching, but all the threads have broken picture links or part links.
I have the following plus the clips. (The 123659 pieces)
I believe there is Metal plates that cover the underbody blanket insulation pieces.
My question is if anyone can clue me in to what else I need?
I found this on Zip, but I am unsure if it's right and which clips I need...
http://www.zip-corvette.com/catalog/...category/6798/
The car is a L79 4 speed close ratio Convertible that was made in June of 68
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Hi K,
Happy Thanksgiving!
I suggest you look at the Paragon Reproduction site.
There are illustrations for the underbody heat shields, the mounting brackets, and the various fasteners necessary to install them.
Check:
2329
2037 x 3
7708K and 7709K
Perhaps they'll be what you're looking for.
Regards,
Alan

If you are trying to do a factory correct restoration you will need to give us your cars build date. The configuration of insulation and shields changed several times during the course of the 1968 model year.

Looking in the Zip catalog you'll need the following if they are missing:
ZM-317 - Insulation - all cars had this
ZM-2548 - Insulation - all cars had this.
M-255A - clips
M-3968 - Insulation
SU-530 - Shield
SU-531 - Strap
SU-532 - splash shield
BU-521 - mounting kit
BU-522 - mounting kit
SF-402 - Stud plate

With the late build date of your car it most likely came with the final under body configuration of insulation and shields used for the year. Attached are a couple pictures to show what that looked like.

Yes, the early 69 insulation configuration was the same as the late 68 configuration.
I wish I could say the pictures were of my car but they are not. Mine is not quite so nice looking. Some day I hope it will look like the pictures.
