What color are you guys painting your Rallys? I know the vendors sell Argent Silver but, is there a more common silver I may can find local?

Hi c,
Most auto stores sell a rally wheel paint because versions of it were used on so many different cars that people are still playing with.
I'll bet your local store will have something you like.
Regards,
Alan

I hope so. The ones I have are pretty shabby. I'm hoping I can find a color local as mail ordering everything is a drag

You can buy 2 stage from Summit Racing. I like it because it has a hardener and holds up well. Its available in pints.

Selecting a silver color from some 'stock' spray paint types would be a crap-shoot. The Argent silver colors sold by vendors can vary a little bit; but I'm not aware of a close match from stock stuff. Argent silver is not a 'bright' silver and it has a very slight hue of green in it.

But, if 'silver' is close enough for you, the car will still look good with freshly painted wheels.

VHT sells "SP 186 - Chevy Rally Wheel Silver" !

I did my "Rally's and the Color tone made a very good match in my opinion

By the time you install the rings and center caps...how much paint really shows? And actually notice the shade?

That is what Dupli-Color HWP101 Silver looks like on a wheel, with cap and ring, five feet away with poor lighting.

Available at local stores.

I found some locally... "Ford Argent Silver Wheel Paint"..... once the rings & caps are on, very hard to tell anyway.

Even though you will paint the wheels now, you might as well include a couple of cans of "Argent Silver" spray paint in your next C3 parts order. Down the road, you will want to do them again; and if you plan ahead, you will have the right paint to use the NEXT time.
