Default Need Trans Shop in Tampa Bay area: Speedo Sender Leak 700R4

My 700R4 developed a leak at the speedo sender. I had a reputable shop in AR attempt to seal it with gunk around the o-ring and stacked the seals that fit around the driven speedo gear shaft. It still leaks... more than before. I am now in Tampa Bay area and need a good trans shop I can trust.

Any reputable shop appreciated!

Ted, sorry no recommendation about a shop but mine was leaking this summer as well. It's a 20 minute job and it mostly involves mopping up the spilled ATF. Have you considered doing it yourself? Parts are cheap : ebay link

Default Transmission

Try Transmission Exchange on Florida Ave., just north of MLK Blvd. Ask for Tony. I have used him for my personal transmission projects as well as my mini fleet of work cars. I have used him for 25 years and found his work to be excellent and his prices are fair. The shop is not much to look at. He knows me as Jerry from Mobile Ultrasound. Good luck. Jerry

buy a housing from ebay and put it in, had the same issue, but it's very straight forward and easy and you save $$$$

get the aluminum, it won't crack from the heat
