Default Installing a B&M T-Handle on a C3

Easy, had to order a thread reducer from ebay and a tube shield (cut down) to cover threads

Do you push the handle down to get it out of park?

Used a piece of thin wall tubing that happened to be the right size to fit over the shaft. JB welded it into the hole.

Yes. I drilled and tapped the handle for the release. 1/4-20 threads.

What is that coming out of the handle in the first pic? Wires?

Yes, you push the T-handle down. I was looking for a capped sleeve a little over 5/8" but could only find the 3/4" aluminum vacuum tube shield. The spring that came with it was perfect, it keeps pressure against the T handle. I just needed to cut it down enough to get rid of the lock tabs.

I like them both, thinking about drilling mine for a switch.

I like all custom handles, to the OP, so you push the complete T/handle down? What keeps it from rotating?

I did this B/M handle years ago.

The lockout rod on my 77 rotates maybe 1/16" at the ends of the T handle. I'm really happy with the result, I didn't want to have to drill it for a button.
