My experience with max performance tires are as follows. You cant beat the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but they're real pricey. The Bridgestone RE-11s are damn near as good and a bit cheaper and last longer, The Dunlop Direzza Star Specs are pretty good but wear fast. All 3 of those tire are terrible in temps below freezing, traction starts dropping off real fast when it gets cold and at freezing there is a huge difference.

The BFG G-forces are OK but are pretty far behind the others in technology but are priced real well and will work great for a street only car. The KDWs, as expected, are great in the wet but only decent in the dry.

Got a set of Comp-2 with a $70 rebate. For me they stick OK. Both handling and straight line. They were the largest performance tire I could find for my 16 in rims, 255/50/16.

pauldana thanks for all your input today on the phone great actually speaking with you.
To every one else that replied thanks so much for the input. I am a drag racer so setting up a car for the auto cross/street is a bit out of my forte. Funny cars are rigid mount in the rear so suspension stuff is kind of new LOL
My little mouse will be getting replaced at some point but it will work for now.
My present project is to get this thing to hold onto the corners the best it can.

My other side project is a Dart big M 540 Pro 2 heads with a 14-71 running on injected methanol. Yeah I like pain! LOL not too worry its not a street motor just 1/4 mile at a time.
