`69 windshield wiper circuit

Default `69 windshield wiper circuit

I find that the wiper door limit circuit only gets power (12ga R/W) when override switch is on what am I missing

That's the way it works. The override switch isn't to make them work, it's to stop them when you need to do maintenance on the blades. So you should only have 12v when it's on, and zero coming out of the switch going up to the limit switch when it's off. The override switch should be on all the time UNLESS you want to stop the wipers mid-swipe.

Now that I`ve got my head wrapped around it as a disconnect I`m ok.

The normal wiper switching is done on the ground side, the supply is hot all the time.

Unless the service override under the dash is turned off, which is what he was doing. That disconnects the 12v that passes through the wiper door limit switch then to the wiper motor.
