Default Hazard Lights - 1969

I've read a lot of posts, but haven't seen my issue yet.

Blinkers work, brake lights work and all lights work. When I turn my hazard lights on, nothing happens, but when I press the brake pedal with the hazard light switch on, the signal indicators on the dash both light up. They do not blink, they just stay on as long as I have the brake pedal pressed. Any ideas?

Your car has 2 flashers - one for the hazards located in fuse block and a second only for turn signals. The 1st one is either missing or bad. (I suspect it is bad) based on your problem description above. It looks like a round can with 2 prongs on it:

The turn flasher is located under the shift consol, under the radio , pushed in to its own little bracket. You can get to it from the pass side of the console under the dash.
If the hazard flasher is good, then the next place to check is the turn signal switch on the right side of your steering column that contains the switch & **** to turn on the hazard flashers.

Thanks. I thought there was only one flasher that controlled both hazards and turn signals, so that probably explains it.

A trip to the parts store and $4 later, hazards are working correctly! Just a bad flasher.
