Recommendation on Brand &/or Model of 1/4" Air Ratchet & 3/8" Impact Wrench.
I just installed a 6HP 60 Gallon Single Stage Compressor I bought off a Coworker & Hard Piped it in my shop with a Moisture Trap installed. Everything is working great. The only thing I have is a old Rubber Hose & a Crappy Air Chuck.
I am going to start a Body Off "Mechanical" Rebuild on a 79 L-82 Stick Car with a Solid Frame. I Plan to to Replace Brake/Fuel/Vacuum Lines, Replace Mounts & Bushings, Rebuild the Suspension, Replace Springs/Shocks, Paint or Powder Coat the Chassis & install the Engine I just Finished. If Powder Coating, I will farm out the Big Pieces.
Any Recommendation on Brand &/or Model of 1/4" Air Ratchet & 3/8" Impact Wrench. I really don't want Cheap Stuff, but I don't want to pay $500 each! And any recommendation on reasonably priced hoses & Sockets for the above? Thanks, Tim

Ingersoll rand air tools were the professional's choice for a long time.
And I believe they make many of the top tier tool companies guns for them.Chicago pneumatic is another well known brand.

I have all Chicago pneumatic air tools, goes back many years of owning them, from my first job as an apprentice mechanic. They should be a little less pricey but they are just as good IMHO

I'm a field service tech for a Caterpillar dealer. I own all the most powerful air tools and the best hand tools. For the last few years, my regular duty impact wrench of choice is DeWalt 20v for 3/8 drive, my air tools only come out for extreme duty. Haven't used the 3/8 air ratchet for years, I grab the snap on 3/8 rechargeable ratchet.

Hate to push the Chinese crap, but I have the HF "Earthquake" 1/2" drive impact driver and it has more than enough torque to rip the heads off of good size bolt if you're not careful. Ask me how I know. That impact driver has yet to find ANY bolt that it couldn't move. Amazing tool.
I'm guessing that their 3/8" impact driver would be adequately strong as well.
I've been using it for 18 months or so and am still pleased as punch with it. I think I paid $70 for the thing.

I have the same type compressor and I use it frequently that compressor puts out about 11cfm so when I purchase air tools look for the tools that use the least amount of cfm or your compressor will run all the time especially DA sanders and grinders. I have Ingersoll Rand ratchet and impacts.

I've got my old Ingersol Rands and Snap On's that are still going strong today. But as mentioned above, I just bought myself a Dewalt 20v electric 1/2" (700 ft lbs) and a 3/8" 20v (130 ft lbs) and not sure how much I'm going to use my big compressor anymore other than to air up tires and paint stuff maybe.
Over the years I've noted all my Tech's have migrated to electric and the stuff gets better every year.
