Default T-Top alignment

Is there a way to adjust the T-Top alignment?

How wide is the gap between the 2 t-tops when they are installed. One of the cars I looked at when I was shopping for a car had a gap almost an inch wide. Mine is about a quarter inch. Mine line up fine. That one didn't.

Hi r,
All four corners of the roof panels have separate adjustments. Typically all must be loose, the delta set, and then gradually all the bolts need to be tightened while the panel position is maintained.
Not easy but certainly do-able.
Regards,
Alan

Front outer corner…. peg w/2 adjustment bolts.

Center tabs note bolts and shims.

Rear outer lock.

Delta fits in receiver. Delta moves up/down, forward/backward, left/right.

Outer corner receiver.

I just went through this myself... lost one of my astro t tops last week... flew right off the car while accelerating and shattered...not fun.. anyway because of that I had to actually dremel out areas of the inner front lip of the glass panel Moon T Tops to get them to fit the car they came with when I bought it... the rear triangle locking pins were also missing which I replaced as well as one of the mounting tab brackets it goes into...it caused them to fit like yours in the rear.
Lucky I had another set of factory tops for parts... I also found the weatherstripping was old and hard and causing fitment issues so I have replacements to mount once the cars painted. But pretty much every pin and latch on the tops are adjustable by moving or shimming so yeah you can make them fit very well.

It's straight but from day one I though the gap looked too wide!

I have a 82 Vette. My passenger side fits like a glove. My drivers side is darn ugly. It sits so far back that it just about rubs the paint to the pillar it sits into. I've tried loosing everything prior to setting it into place, but it seems to naturally want to sit to the far rear. The car site perfectly level. I've watched the Melrose you-tube and still can't get my T Tops right. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It sits level, just the driver side top is not aligning right. Any advise, I can send pictures.

Probably better to start a new thread than reviving one from 9 years ago
