Default PCV Valve Grommet Hunt

So, I need to replace the grommets on my 1969 350/300hp valve covers as they are worn and cracking. The ID on the PCV is .75 and the hole is ~.93in. All grommets I have been able to find seem to be 1.22 or 1.25in OD grommets. Anyone know of a place to get them? I would rather not replace the valve covers as I am trying to keep most things original if I can.

I got mine off eBay for about $5 a set including shipping. Just search "PCV grommet chev" and you will get about 200 hits to select from.

I thought I was the only one coming up empty handed all the time. Good luck with your search. I think I found some different sizes at Orielys

So, after a ton of research, I found the correct size:

23/32" ID X 1" OD

Ordered from my local NAPA: CRB 29109 for 2.99 each

Other possible part numbers for this (According to an ebay listing, take with a grain of salt):

GV9
2P1004
PCG100
76-1500
CV5012C
1901-511355

I had a heckuva time finding them as well for the '76. ended up finding them at an old hot rod shop. none of the chain parts stores had a clue...I have been grabbing various grommets from the junk yard every time I go so I have a nice stash now. not having a lot of faith in the made in china ones I bought lasting as long as the originals but we'll see.

So, I picked them up today and yes they are the square style but they fit perfectly and will work great. The old ones were original and felt like hard plastic and no longer hold the PCV and breather upright. These were nice and pliable and went in with no issue

The round grommet (straight through, no angle) is typically used in the right valve cover and accepts the Valve Cover Elbow which receives fresh air from the air cleaner. I'm not sure why they say two are required, because they typically have one round one in the rt valve cover and an angled one in the left valve cover.

The grommet with the straight side and angled opening is typically used on the left valve cover and holds the PCV valve.

I have a new GM #14091870 valve cover breather grommet on my desk. If you want to keep it original looking, I'll send it to you. I received it in error for my big block.

Same here. I ended up buying from newyorkrestomod The quality seems good, and the fitment is tight so they won't leak.
