Default A (not so) brief introduction, and a hearty thank you.

I have been "lurking" here for several months, and I have to say I am impressed with the friendly, knowledgeable and enthusastic spirit of this
forum. I am new to computer forums, cars in general, and vettes in particular. What I have seen has encouraged me to take the plunge on all counts. I am excited to be given the opportunity to be a part of this great group, and I thank you all for the invaluable insights I have received so far.

Too true. The CF is a double edged sword--you'll save a ton because of the good advice, but you'll spend a ton because every time you log on you'll see something that'll make you go "cool, gotta have me one of them."

Welcome, welcome.
There are many 76 projects going on here - as well as complete beauties.
It's kinda like a beauty contest with no entrance qualifications. You get
judged on improvement, not necessarily the current condition.

I'm curious, does the "Frankenstein" mean that you vette was pieced
together from donor cars - like mine will ?

Thanks for the warm welcome, all.
Dave, I am referring to it's history - Re-motored (undetermined origin and content) , differential replaced (unknown ratio), roll bar installed w/crude patching in cargo area. Throw in a bad repaint faded and cracked with no hope of restoration, replacement urethane bumpers (unpainted), interior carpet removed, seats/door panels falling apart, well...enuff babbling. Bottom line is..it's still a hoot to drive, and I'll be attempting to turn it into a decent fun weekend toy with the help of all you fine folks. Pics will follow as soon as I can figure out how to do that !
