Default Weather Seals

OK,

so the seals in the 78 Pace are beginning to look pretty 2nd hand..

The clincher was when I took of one of the T-tops and a "wire" poked out of the seal at the top corner of the windscreen where the T-Top fits.

The questions I have.

If I was to replace all the seals in and around the T-Tops, which ones will I need (both T-Top and Car)

If I was to go further and do both doors - which ones do i need?

Finally, what's the best seal manufacturer/supplier/brand to use?

Thanks

Crc Brand is the only brand we will install in our shop. The t-top weatherstrips originally were a one piece design so there is only one per side to replace.

If you are doing the doors, all you need is the door main weatherstrip.

Or if you want to get the complete kit you'll find it here:

Thanks Willcox, will be definitely purchasing from you guys.

You've helped me out before.

So if I get the complete kit, it looks like it doesn't contain the screws?
Am I reading that right?

If I am doing the entire car, I get the complete kit and three screw kits....is there anything else I need?
Special tools?
Adhesive/silicone/glue etc?
something I've missed?

I'd rather get everything at once, than have to go back and forth etc

Now this i have all the bits and pieces required and assuming it all goes on reasonable easily (nothing ever is), will I need to adjust door glass or T-Tops?

Thanks for your help.

You'll need the glue.. but get the black, it's way more forgiving when you goof..

The hood ledge weatherstrip in the kit just glues to the hood, the t-tops use the screws I posted you the link to, the doors screws are on that link as well as the pillar screw kit. That's about it though. The door glass rear is pop riveted in place and you have to be careful because the standard pop rivets can poke through the rubber if your not careful. So what I do is use the standard pop rivets but I push the nail out, cut the length down to where they are about 1/2" long and then put the nail back in and pop them in place. It's not really hard at all.

We have a tool kit, but it's something you may already have laying around in your garage. The one tool with the large U is very helpful in pulling the plastic pins out of the t-top weatherstrip.
