Seats: Score or Screwed
I picked up a set of seats from an 81.
1.The good clam shells are good and are tan which is close to the saddle of the 72 and can easily be painted to match.
2. The OK the covers and foam are bad but easy to replace.
3. The bad seat track do not look like they will fit. Especially the power driver's seat.
What would it take to make the power seat fit in a 72?
If the power part of the seat won't work, will the seat tracks from the 72 fit?
Any other ideas or options?
Thanks
Jim

Lets make lemonade,
My first corvette was a 72, sweet cars,
I always loved the 80 style clam shells I was really happy they were in my 69 when I got it
But electric seat tracks will not fit the earlier sharks the floor was modded in the 80 to fit the electric track so you have to use manual track and sorry to say I do not know what year tracks interchanges as I just modify what I have to fit.

The power seat rack will not fit your car without modifying your floor pan to accommodate the rack. The seats will mount if you use your 72 rails, but you would lose the power function for the driver.

My wife thinks the idea of solid mounting the seats will not work as she has IDS. Those who suffer from IDS must have seats that move.
Inseam Deficiency Syndrome is real, pray for short people everywhere.
Looks like 72 rails on 81 clam shells. Power rails go on the shelf.
Thanks
