1972 auto shifter cable clip
what size (diameter/width gap) is the clip that holds the cable onto the shifter housing?
it goes into the groove and stops it pulling back out.
is it a "E" clip or a pressed plate style?
karnt get in there to measure the size without pulling the whole console....
yes they are only a dollar or 2 over there, but i'm not paying 40$+ postage to downunder.

i don't care about being "right", as no one sees it anyway.
i tried a circlip i had in bolts junk box, but it doesn't have enough meat around the outside to hold it properly.
the inner/smaller dia of the groove would be great.
thanks

Common e-clip size
The old one I have is 0.612 (5/8) dia shaft, 0.488 (7/16) groove dia. The groove width is 0.141 which is going to be a lot wider than a 5/8 e-clip will be thick (should be probably .05" thick or so) so maybe you want to install 2 if there's too much space???
